A kidnap plot entangled with full-length comedy, provided by leading artists known to produce great comedy - Rajendra Prasad, Prabhudeva, Brahmanandam
and others, is Andharu Dongale. "Nidhi" Prasad, who directed a action film Nidhi - a while ago, comes out with a comedy entertainer with
suspence plot. The producer seems to have a money-maker on his hands.

Usha (Ankitha) is the daugther of KK (Nagendra Babu), who is a business tycoon.. Naveena (Kiran Rathod), personal assistant of KK and interested in
his wealth, tries to seduce him. KK falls for it. Even they plan a trip to Switzerland, Usha, who has a close watch on her father,
wont let that happen. She plans as if she is kidnapped and demands money from KK. The rest of the characters - Bujji (Prabhudeva),
who ran away from his village to escape the unwanted marriage, Bangarraju (Rajendra Prasad), who is one among the bunch of 7 - Brahmanandam's gang,
gets involved in this plot - giving more twists to the story, providing the audience with enough to laugh for.

Though the plot and the narration remind of few of the old films involving kidnap plots - viz. Kshana Kshanam, money - the film has
enough entertaining elements to keep the audience seated. First half of the film continues at a good pace with entertaining comedy,
Naveena rying to seduce KK, Usha kidnap and other elements. Though the second half of the film fails to maintain the tempo, it is

not bad. The romance that starts between Bujji and Usha slows the pace of the film. There are some unwarranted songs that add up
in the second half. Tempo gains again towards the climax, which leaves a satisfactory impression with the audience.

Andharu Dongale is a must-see for comedy lovers and Rajendra Prasad movie fans. Though Rajendra Prasad got a less scope compared
to Prabhu Deva, some characters are tailor-made for him and vice-versa. Bangarraju is a cake-walk for only Rajendra Prasad.
As the main plot of the film revolves around Ankitha and
Prabhudeva, they got a good length of screen time. Prabhu Deva impresses with his comedy timing. He is the biggest asset of the film.
He also impresses with the dances. Another impressive thing is the voice of Prabhu Deva. Thanks to Sivaji, the dubbing came out
excellent and suited apt. Ankitha did her role well. She looked good and performed well. Kiran Rathod is the glamorous element of the film.
She overthrows Ankitha. Kiran Rathod goes for a great amount of exposing in the songs. Good thing is, this is limited to the songs.

An appreciable point in the film is the rarity of double-entenders. There are very few vulgar dialogues. Chintapalli Ramana should be

applauded for the one-liners and comedy dialogues. Brahmanandam, Ali, Surya, Krishna Bhagawan, Mallikarjuna Rao, Raghubabu, Jyothi and
others entertain well. They provided total justification to the dialouges penned by Ramana. Surya's scenes - especially in the police station - are bound to crack the audience.

If the movie is combined with a good music, the whole product could have been rated better. Chakri's music is average for this one.
Editing by Sankar and Cinematography by Sarat are good. Screenplay of the film is bad at times, but good overall. Director Nidhi Prasad
did a good job in shaping this product out. The story is thin-lined. It is his screenplay that runs the film. If he concentrated more
on the placement of the songs in the second half, the pace would not have slowed down that much.

Overall, this is a film for a good time pass. If you are in for comedy, you are in for Andharu Dongale.
