Bharatmuni Awards for the year 2007 will be given out on 13th of this month at Harihara Kalabhavan in Secundrabad. Muni Krishna Reddy established these awards after Bharatamuni, Bharatiya Natyasastra Pithamahudu (father of Indian Classical Dance), in 1987. Mee Sreyobhilashi bagged most of the awards including best film, best actor, best supporting actor, best singer, best dialogs and best publicity designs.
The list is as follows:
• Mee Sreyobhilashi is adjudged as the best film.
• Best comedy film is Seema Sastry
• Rajendra Prasad and Charmi get the best actor and actress awards respectively.
• Best comedy hero is Allari Naresh for Seema Sastry while Brahmanandam is the best comedian for Dhee and Kovai Sarala for Desa Muduru
• Best debut goes to Ramcharan (Chiruta), Vaibhav (Godava), Gayatri (Notebook)
• Jhansi (Sira), Naresh (Mee Sreyobhilashi), Swathi (AMAV) will get supporting role awards
• SPB is the best singer for Chirunavvulatho song from Mee Sreyobhilashi
• Pranavi (Yakundedhu in Happy Days) is the best female playback singer.
• Devisri Prasad gets best music for Shankar Dada Zindabad. Special Category music award goes to Veena Pani for Sira
• Ramesh Cheppala (Dialogs for Mee Sreyobhilashi), Dhani Yele (publicity designs for Chandamama, Mee Sreyobhilashi) will also receive the awards.
• Vegam directed by JJ Reddy will receive the best experimental film award.
