A new film with Rebelstar Krishnamraju playing the lead started off today. The film is titled Samardhudu. The film is officially launched today at Annapoorna studios. Regular shooting will start immediately. Talking about the film, Krishnamraju said, 'Even though we are planning for home production with Prabhas in the lead, this character is very interesting. Hence I decided to do this first and then will take up Gopikrishna Pictures project', said Krishnamraju. In fact he is also doing a guest role in K.S.Nageswara Rao's film Srisailam as he liked that role.
Debut director Arjun waited for three months to narrate the story to Krishnamraju. After giving it an ear, Krishnamraju is very impressed and could immediatley relate it to his real life that he postponed his home production venture and started off with this. Krishnamraju plays MLA in this film. 'This is a different story. Leaders elected by people should be responsible and should be strictly punished if they fail to do their job. And this film exactly portrays the same. I liked the way debut director Arjun narrated the story', added Krishnamraju.
Devika Productions and Orange frame banners are jointly making this venture. Raja and Sanjana are playing lead in this film. Dattu will handle the camera and V.Rajasekhar will compose music. Story, screenplay and direction is by Arjun.
